A very good hardcover copy, this was the surgery manual used during the U.S. Civil War. Translated from the original french, edited, and with additions for the American edition. Designed to serve as a compantion to ordinary surgical texts. Covers have some slight rubbing and scuffs. Well-illustrated with many plates, including fold outs. No marking on pages, occasional moisture mark or light soiling. Truly excellent condition for its age.
