LYNCH’S FOLDING STETHOSCOPE CIRCA 1880
[lightslider_looper]

This is a good and early example of Lynch’s folding, binaural stethoscope. It was introduced around 1880. Lynch’s scope incorporates features of the Camman but its jointed and folding frame provides its distinctiveness. This is likely an early example with a wooden bell. The ear pieces are not perfectly matched but it is overall in quite good condition with no evident wear to the cloth-covered tubing. Examples of the Lynch stethoscope do not surface often.
